A limited-time offer.

Limited to the lifetime of your GPU. Which, frankly, is longer than most funding rounds.

Terms and conditions. Ten million tokens is an arbitrary number chosen because it sounds generous. The actual figure is “as many as you like”, which tested poorly in focus groups — nobody believes a free thing that admits it is unlimited.

Tokens are generated on your own machine by a model you downloaded once, using electricity you were already buying. Plank does not meter them, count them, or send them anywhere. The /usage command will happily bill you in imaginary currency if you miss the ritual.

Offer void where a GPU is absent. Offer also void on Linux and Windows, not out of spite but out of Metal. Your tokens may be smaller than they appear; a token is roughly three quarters of a word, and nobody has ever been happy about that.

By reading this page you agree that “free” meaning free is a strange enough claim in 2026 to warrant a whole page about it.
